Nineteen of Medvedev's twenty-one championships have been earned on hardcourt

A revitalized Medvedev secured his initial championship for 882 days with victory over Corentin Moutet in the tournament championship match.

Medvedev, a former top-ranked player, has endured a challenging period, achieving just a single victory at the big events and experiencing a meltdown at the US Open.

Medvedev's unpredictability on the ATP Tour - and difficulties with his service game in especial - resulted in him exiting of the world's top 10 and finally parting ways with former coach his previous coach.

Currently collaborating with his coach and his other coach, he has consistently progressed in the recent weeks - culminating in a tightly fought three-set triumph over Frenchman Moutet.

It is his initial trophy after the Italian tournament and first on a hard court after that period of 2023.

The win also means Medvedev has secured 21 championships at 21 various events.

"This marks the first occasion I have attended a competition with my both daughters together, so to secure a title is really nice," stated tennis professional Medvedev.

"This victory is in honour of my younger daughter Victoria, because the maiden victory I won when my older daughter my daughter was delivered was for her."

The tennis star, the former major winner, had been defeated in his past six title deciders, comprising in the German tournament previously this season.

Medvedev's counter-punching approach and frequent emotional displays on court had caused observers to doubt if his skill to play at the highest level was finished.

But the athlete has altered his approach in the last few weeks, making an effort to come to the net and play assertively, backed up by an enhanced serving game.

Medvedev recovered from a break down in the opening set against the tricky opponent, securing four of the concluding five exchanges to gain the advantage.

The pair exchanged breaks in the following set before Moutet, attempting for his first professional title, gained dominance to push for a third set.

The opponent saved 4 early-game opportunities in a close final set before the champion secured a break to 15 to serve for the match.

Fittingly, he secured the title with a point at the net area, with the Frenchman incapable to handle a volley after a lengthy match.
