I'll dominate 'serious combatant' Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua will face Jake Paul in an eight round match which will be streamed in real-time on the streaming platform.

Briton Joshua declared he will "overwhelm entirely" Jake Paul and "overpower" his opponent as the pair met personally to promote the upcoming heavyweight fight.

Former twice unified title holder Anthony Joshua meets social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, on paper, a huge disparity - at Miami venue on December 19th.

Fighter's Mindset

"I will injure his face and break his body up. I aim to demonstrate I'm the better fighter," Joshua, 35, stated.

"I plan to overwhelm him. That's the boxer's mindset.

"I intend to really want to hurt him. That's my intention."

Civil Interaction

Despite these statements, a relaxed Joshua and social media star Paul - typically famous for his showmanship - shared friendly words and maintained decorum with each other.

Paul instead criticized ex Joshua's opponent the Cameroonian fighter and labeled him "a joke" after Ngannou turned down a fight offer.

Targeting Tyson Fury

Joshua, meanwhile, criticized UK rival Fury - and rejected a million-pound wager 'Tyson Fury' claims he will make on a Paul win.

"Jake Paul is superior to Tyson Fury - he's actually sitting here," Joshua stated.

"I acknowledge that."

Serious Opponent

In spite of declaring he will damage his opponent, Joshua refused to comment unfavorably about his rival's fighting skills.

"Jake is a serious fighter," he said.

Paul's Background

Paul - who initially became famous on the Disney Channel - has mainly fought mixed martial artists or declining opponents since becoming pro.

He lost to Briton Tommy Fury in last year.

Commercial Success

Still, the novice continues to be one of the sport's largest financial successes, regularly earning huge earnings.

Prediction and Belief

The 28-year-old predicted a knockout win in round four or five and asserted he would prevent the long-awaited Joshua–Fury fight, which is allegedly in the works for 2026.

"It's going to be me versus Tyson Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul declared.

Physical Disparity

As the two fighters engaged in the traditional confrontation, with their physical disparity evident, it emphasized just how unlikely this whole event is - and how remarkable it is that the bout is truly going ahead.
